Spintec is a flexible, project-driven organization. Research groups are organized along focused research projects, around a small core of staff scientists surrounded by young researchers. Each group is responsible for its activity, partnerships and corresponding contracts, whilst funding is managed at the higher level for improved flexibility and early-stage project support. The project activity is currently split into five applicative segments: Memories, Non-Volatile Logic, RF Devices, Nanoparticles for Health & Biology and a Sensors/Advanced Concepts group.
Three transversal groups support these focused projects by providing across-the-board technical expertise and ressources: the Theory and Modeling group is directly involved in many research projects, including some of its own, whilst the Nanocharacterization and Nanofabrication groups provide support for physical, electrical and magnetic characterization and access to the Upstream Research Platform (PTA) clean room facility.
